We are proud to share that the District was awarded the Leadership in Sustainability Award from Sustainable Contra Costa. The honor was presented during a ceremony at the Pleasant Hill Community Center.
As a public health agency, for nearly 100 years, our mission has been to protect the residents of Contra Costa County from vectors that spread disease or cause harm. While our work has always centered on safeguarding public health, this award highlighted an important truth: protecting the environment is also protecting our community’s health.
District Board of Trustees President Peter Pay and Operations Manager David Wexler accepted the award on behalf of the District. We are honored to be recognized for our commitment to sustainability and look forward to continuing this vital work for generations to come.
